Simplicity

SIMPLICITY. This one time, I just want to be simple. Usually I would wear my statement necklace with such a simple dress. However, I just love the style of this dress so much and I want it to stand out. That's why I want the green color to pop out by wearing black hat, bag, and shoes. And I thought, hey! These simple earrings and my heart necklace will be enough.

Other reason for the simplicity is that I have to be realistic when going out. Freya is 4.5 months now and she keeps grabbing everything - especially hair and earrings. It means I have to make adjustment to the way I style myself, because she's always with me wherever I go. Baby oh baby...

Like I said before, it's kinda hard for me to find dress. Luckily, I found this dress which came in a few different sizes. I now wear size L! Omg! Even though the dress is small cutting, but still L! Ha-ha! I just remind myself that this is all for my baby. At least, hubby loves me just the way I am. >.< New resolution : working out. I hope I could achieve my goal - tone my body back. Not easy, but good luck to me! :)

It's almost Valentine's Day! Look at their campaign down here - cool right? Get your heart on... *wink*

Do you love simple jewelry like me? Any thought? :)

The Mothers

My Parents and Fernando's Parents

Mother of The Bride and Groom Dresses. People rarely talk about the parents' dresses, but it's also an important part of the wedding party. They are the ones that gave birth to us and I'm sure that their appearance would be our lifetime happiness. It means that they approve our marriage. Mine sure did! :)

Mother of the bride and groom outfits should be comfortable, well-fitted and age appropriate. Not only that, but the outfits should be coordinated with the color, theme and style of the wedding party which has already been chosen by the happy couple.

Here are a few tips that might be helpful in choosing the perfect dresses for the mother of the bride and groom :

Communication is the key. This is actually the most important part. The mothers should find out from the bride how to dress their part and the other way around applied too. The bride should include them in the planning process, so they know what to expect (for example : the theme of the party). I'm sure the parents would be happy to be included.

Make a match. After the bride has chosen her wedding gown and bridesmaid dresses, the mothers should follow their lead and make adjustment.

Find the hue. Usually the mothers always wear the same color with different design of dresses. They should decide their color preferences in mind, but don't forget about the bride - they should stay away from white, cream, or ivory, otherwise it will look like they are trying to steal the spotlight. The dresses should compliment both moms' coloring and not clashing with the wedding colors ( the dress doesn't have to match the bridesmaids' too ).

Compromise with the bride. Not only compromise about the color, but also about the dress design. The mothers should feel comfortable with what they are wearing on the big day too. On the other side, don't wear dresses which aren't suitable with the mothers' age - it can embarrass the bride/the groom.

Anyway, my moms chose bright neon pink color and I love it! At first, the dads were shocked by the chosen color. Hey! They are both guys and shouldn't wear pink, besides it's bright pink! For them, it's too cheesy. Ha-ha! But you know... women always win in the end. They finally agreed. They looked handsome though! Don't you think so? :)

Also I'm introducing Tops Wedding for your wedding needs. They have several elegant dresses for the mothers. Here are three of my favorites. I know I said that the mothers shouldn't wear cream/white color, but I chose based on the design. Tops Wedding offers custom dresses - in other words, you can choose the color based on your preferences. Sweet, right? :)

Paw Paw

PAW PAW. I was browsing through my old pictures, when I found these pictures. Yep... this kinda like continuing the previous post - a little throw back. This look is far way back, not only before my pregnancy, but also before I got married as well. I haven't tried this dress again, hopefully it still fits me. Well... the problem of breastfeeding mom. >.< I think... it's about time for me to post my latest look. Please wait for it! :)

By the way, lately I love browsing through website with cool lookbook. Simons has a new campus lookbook that actually applicable for hanging out too - even for young mom like me. They have reasonable and cheap price. In other words, you can look chic for less splurge. Here are two my favorite looks. Cool and chic just like I said before, right? :)

Throw Back

January 7, 2015

Pictures by Fernando Prasetyo

THROW BACK. First thing first, Happy New Year!!! >.< By the way, I never once do a throw back post. This time I want to feature some of my old looks. I will feature the ones I was wearing dress only though. I miss wearing my dresses, since most of them can't be worn anymore. T.T Sad, but true. Gosh! Today I tried ten dresses and only THREE fitted me. No.... >.< This post is kinda sharing about my recent life story, please bear with me. :D

It's not that I'm getting fatter, but after my pregnancy, it's actually the other way around. I lost my weight and already back at my previous weight (before pregnant). However, I'm getting slimmer at some places (for example : my face and upper arms). I'm not sure why, but hey... who wouldn't want that? I accept that as a blessing. Ha-ha! On that part, my old dresses still fit me perfectly.

One thing that can't fit at all. My breasts! During my pregnancy, they were getting bigger and funnily... making my pregnant belly looked not as big as it should be. Granted, I didn't gain that much weight ( only 9 kg in total ). I'm currently still breastfeeding ( four months post partum ), so... yeah... my breasts are still the same size.

I read at some forums, that usually some women got their previous size back after finished breastfeeding or minimum six months post partum. However, some of them became one size bigger than their previous size. Oh my! Some people thought of that as a blessing, but I certainly hope that I will be back at my previous size.

It's kinda hard to buy all size clothing nowadays. That's why I'm always browsing online and looking for website which sells custom dresses. Just like Sweet Quinceanera Dress with their cute sweet 16 dresses. No, I'm not trying to look younger than my age. But their dresses are elegant enough for all ages. I choose several dresses that 'so me' and give me enough coverage plus support on my breasts. They are truly a beauty!

They are super sweet and elegant too, right? They are suitable for attending wedding parties. :)

Now, let's get back to my past lookbook. Let me be narcissistic for a bit and post some of my other looks. This will appease me for now. But hey... this doesn't mean I don't love my body now. I know that after giving birth, I won't have the same body as before. I accept it, but it doesn't mean I can't miss my old body. :) Sounds good? ^^
